Family of Edwin P. BLAIR

EDWIN P. BLAIR was born in Mar 1837 in Girard, Erie, Pennsylvania, and died about 1904 in Iowa. He was a fire insurance agent.

He married MARY JANE MCPHERSON on 19 June 1881 in Dane co., Wisconsin, daughter of JAMES MCPHERSON and MARY BURNS. She was born on 27 Jan 1855 in Springdale, Dane, Wisconsin, and died on 17 Jan 1946 in Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa.

Although born in Pennsylvania, Edwin lived in Dane county, Wisconsin, from 1850 thru 1870. Edwin and Mary relocated the family to Iowa in 1893, first living at Clear Lake village in Cerro Gordo county. After Edwin's death in 1904, the family can be found in Ames, Story county, Iowa through 1920.

EDWIN BLAIR and MARY MCPHERSON had four children, all of whom lived. They are:
  1. CLARA MCPHERSON BLAIR, b. 28 Aug 1883, Brooklyn, Green, Wisconsin; d. after 1910.

  2. JAMES ROBERT BLAIR, b. 2 Apr 1887, Wisconsin; d. after 1920.

  3. WILLIAM EDWIN BLAIR, b. 3 Jul 1890, Wisconsin; d. after 1920.

  4. GEORGE AUSTIN BLAIR, b. 17 Feb 1893, Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa; d. after 1920.
