In the 1891 census, the family can be found on Woolcomber St. in St. James, Dover, Kent, and Daniel is noted as "deaf".

He married MARY ANNE APPLETON on 11 Dec 1884 in Womenswould, Kent, ENGLAND, daughter of GEORGE APPLETON and MAHALETH HAMMOND. She was born in May 1858 and baptised on 30 May 1858 in Nonington, Kent, ENGLAND, and died after 1915.

  1. WESTON GEORGE DANIEL SUTTON, born 1886 and baptised on 21 Mar 1886, Womenswould, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1907. He married a woman named Emily about 1906.

  2. ARTHUR ERNEST SUTTON, b. 3 Mar 1888 and baptised on 8 Apr 1888, St. James, Dover, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1891.

  3. ELIZABETH MARY SUTTON, b. 3 Nov 1890 and baptised on 14 Dec 1890, St. James, Dover, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1891.

  4. WILLIAM JOHN SUTTON, b. 26 Sep 1892 and baptised on 13 Nov 1892, St. James, Dover, Kent, ENGLAND.
