JOSEPH LYNN (ROBERT, JOHN) was born in Dec 1779 in Allington, Lincoln, ENGLAND, and died after 1871, probably in Claypole, Lincoln, ENGLAND. In the 1871 census, he is in Claypole, Linc., age 91, living with his daughter Hannah. He married SARAH ELLIS on 8 Dec 1807 in Long Bennington, Lincoln, ENGLAND, daughter of George ELLIS and Mary ?. She was born about 1782 in Long Bennington, Lincoln, ENGLAND, and died about 1855.
i. MARY LYNN, chr. 15 Jan 1809, Sedgebrook, Lincoln, ENGLAND; d. after 1839. She mar. JAMES ROCHESTER, a footman, in the last quarter of 1838 (Shoreditch, Dec 1838, v2 page 328) and they had one child:
ii. ROBERT LYNN, chr. 7 Mar 1813, Balderton, Nottingham, ENGLAND; d. after 1861. He married Mary TINLEY (or FINLEY) in 1834 and settled in Balderton, NTT. He was a cordwainer and had a least six children in Balderton.
iii. HANNAH LYNN, chr. 25 Oct 1815, Balderton, Nottingham, ENGLAND; d. after 1881, probably in Lincolnshire. She married William WARRINER about 1861 and lived in Claypole, Lincolnshire. There appears to be no issue from this marriage.
iv. SARAH LYNN, chr. 4 Apr 1819, Balderton, Nottingham, ENGLAND; d. after 1881, probably in Lincolnshire. In the 1881 census, she is an unmarried annuitant living with her sister Hannah in Claypole.
v. AMELIA LYNN, chr. 24 Feb 1822, Balderton, Nottingham, ENGLAND; d. after 1841.
vi. JANE LYNN, chr. 7 Nov 1824, Balderton, Nottingham, ENGLAND; buried on 30 Oct 1843, Balderton, Nottingham, ENGLAND, at the age of 19.
