WILLIAM JAMES APPLETON (JAMES EDWARD, CHARLES, JAMES, JAMES) was born on 19 Mar 1845 in St. Mary, Dover, Kent, ENGLAND, and was baptised on 6 Jul 1845 at St. Mary, Dover, Kent, ENGLAND. He was a fisherman and was away from home during the 1881 census. He died after 1881.

He married SOPHIA SOLLY in early 1873 in Kent, ENGLAND. She was born in 1844 in Ramsgate, Kent, ENGLAND, and died on 14 Dec 1889 in Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND, at age 45.
