EDWARD THOMAS APPLETON (EDWARD SACKETT, CHARLES, JAMES, JAMES) was born in late 1861 or early 1862 and was baptised on 13 Apr 1862 in St. Peter, Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND. As a young man he was a grocer's assistant. He died in 1928 at age 66 and was buried in Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND.

He married ALICE MARY ? about 1881 in Kent?, ENGLAND. She was born in 1862 in Chelsea, London, ENGLAND, and died after 1894.

Children of EDWARD APPLETON and ALICE ? are:

  1. EDWARD APPLETON, b. 1881, Minster, Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1891. He may have died in Belgium in WWI on 19th March 1916.

  2. CHARLES ERNEST APPLETON, b. 1884 and baptised on 6 Apr 1884, St. Peter, Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1891.

  3. ALFRED STEPHEN APPLETON, b. 1888 and baptised on 5 Aug 1888, St. Peter, Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND; d. Sep 1888 and buried on 25 Sep 1888, St. Peter, Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND as an infant.

  4. ERNEST JAMES APPLETON, b. 1891 and baptised on 4 Nov 1894, St. Peter, Thanet, Kent, ENGLAND.
