Family of Stedman APPLETON

STEDMAN APPLETON (EDWARD, JOHN, JAMES) was born in 1818 and baptised on 23 Aug 1818 in Wingham, Kent, ENGLAND. He was an agricultural labourer. He and his family lived for many years in Ash and at Upper Whitfield near Dover, Kent. He died in the first half of 1884 in Kent, ENGLAND at age 63.

He married MARIA THOMAS on 26 Oct 1844 in Staple, Kent, ENGLAND. She was born in 1818 in Staple, Kent, ENGLAND, and died in early 1888 in Kent, ENGLAND at age 68.

  1. STEDMAN APPLETON, b. 16 Nov 1841, Shatterling, Staple, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1871. He was an agricultural labourer.

  2. MARTHA ANN APPLETON, b. 1847 and bapt. 30 May 1847 at Staple, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1851.

  3. WILLIAM APPLETON, b. 1849 and bapt. 8 Mar 1849, Ash, Kent, ENGLAND; buried on 7 Jul 1849, Ash, Kent, ENGLAND at age 7 months.

  4. GEORGE APPLETON, b. 1 Mar 1850 and bapt. 31 Mar 1850 at Ash, Kent, ENGLAND; buried on 28 May 1850, Ash, Kent, ENGLAND at age 10 weeks.

  5. EDWARD APPLETON, b. 12 Oct 1851 and bapt. 25 Oct 1851 at Ash, Kent, ENGLAND; buried on 26 Nov 1851, Ash, Kent, ENGLAND at age six weeks.

  6. WILLIAM APPLETON, b. 20 Aug 1855, Overland, Ash, Kent, ENGLAND; d. 1929, Kent, ENGLAND; mar. MARY HANNAH (Anna?) ? about 1876, ENGLAND; b. 1855, Sutton, Deal, Kent, ENGLAND; d. after 1891.
