Notes for WILLIAM SUTTERBY DYER:

There is so much uncertain about this individual, that it is difficult to judge if he isn't under an assumed name. In 1861, at age 39, he lists his birthplace as Terrington, Norfolk. In 1871, age 48, his birthplace is Lynn, Norfolk. In 1891, his age has jumped to 72, birthplace given as "Norwich".
