Pharaoh Unis isn't one of the Egyptian deities that comes immediately to mind when thinking of the different kings that ruled this ancient land. Nevertheless, he was the guy that Philip Morris honored when they named one of their very first American made cigarettes after him. King Unis lived about 4000 years ago, and is best remembered for the Pyramid Texts carved into the walls of his 5th Dynasty pyramid. His name means that he is "Like one whose Spiritual Eye is opened." Philip Morris manufactured Egyptian Unis Cigarettes in Factory 512, 2nd District of New York beginning 1908.
