"HIS MASTER'S TIP"
1904---ca. 1911

The fine folks at The Khedivial Company, 132 Reade Street, New York City had some fun with a 'borrowed' sense of humor. Khedivial lampooned Nipper, the famous RCA "His Master's Voice" dog, on a circa 1904 advertising poster. The human expression on the smoking canine seems to be conveying a defiant pro-smoking attitude. In exchange for 25 Turkish Delight coupons, Khedivial would send to any address a duplicate of "His Master's Tip" without the printed title. The Khedivial Co. also made Samaris, Oxford, Duke of York, Turkish Whiffs, and Khedivial Egyptian Cigarettes.
