OLD MOON CIGARETTES
1932
Despite the misleading Egyptian graphics, and the statement "Egyptian and Domestic Blend Cigarettes," Old Moon was made in Boston from a combination of Oriental and American tobaccos. Called "The Universal Blend" by manufacturer State Tobacco Company, the Old Moon Cigarette was introduced to American smokers in 1932. Advertised with the slogan "Old Moon knows where the best tobacco grows," this rare box was a throwback to the Egyptian style cigarette brands that were popular before the First World War.
