MIAMI LIGHTS--TROPICAL ART DECO
1989---1993
This whimsical pack of Miami Lights was a regional brand sold along the Southeastern portion of the Atlantic Seaboard. Art Deco refers to early 20th Century modern design, and architecturally this means buildings with rounded corners and banded stripes. No where is this style more evident than in South Miami Beach. Known locally as South Beach, this district of glamorous art deco oceanfront hotels was a 1930's playground for the rich. Miami Beach's architectural legacies have been restored, and are now designated an historical district. Short lived Miami Lights were originally made in 1989 by the Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company in Durham, NC. The sensual pleasures of sight, touch and smell come together in the Miami Lights Cigarette with a pack featuring a bold design and legible typeface along with the superb craftsmanship of the American tobacco worker and farmer.
