FESTIVE JEZEBEL
1955---1997
The delightful Jezebel was a colored and perfumed party cigarette made from fine Turkish and vintage sun-cured Virginia tobaccos. G. A. Georgopulo & Company first made Jezebel in 1955, and sold the low volume brand in four versions: gardenia, rose, amber and violet. The original graphics pictured the biblical Jezebel reclining on a sofa. In 1992 manufacturer G. A. Andron, successor to G. A. Georgopulo, felt that playful contemporary graphics would enhance the festive nature of the colorful cigarette. Sweet scented Jezebel's "fragrant aroma serves as an incense creating a truly distinctive atmosphere" at any fashionable cocktail party.
