The young ladies that were used to advertise most of the early cigarette brands were so wholesome looking that one has to wonder if 1880's women tried to look like these flawless cigarette girls or was the advertising a reflection of the perfect American woman. Golden Veil Cigarettes is a little known brand that might have had a regional following, but William Kimball's different cigarettes were sold nationwide.
