"THE PUREST, MILDEST AND BEST."
1886---1911
Only 5 cents for 10 cigarettes or 10 cents for 20 cigarettes, and made with pure Virginia tobacco and the purest rice paper, the Purity Cigarette was guaranteed by the manufacturer to be non-injurious. First made by Pace & Sizer in 1886, this old Richmond, Virginia, firm sold their Purity in a slide and shell packet with attractive graphics picturing a wholesome looking young woman with a pink ribbon highlighting her long black hair.
