ENTERTAINING HIGH SOCIETY
1906---1908
A delightful series of black, white, and red Murad ads were published the first decade of the 20th Century. The inside front cover of a theatre program was used for tasteful images picturing handsome people enjoying themselves at the theatre. Between the acts, polished men smoked and slender women appeared graceful in their ruffled evening gowns. Influenced by Art Nouveau, a style of 'new art' that was in vogue before the First World War, the unnamed artist seems to have eloquently captured the contemporary flair in architecture, fashion, and the theatre.
